I'm back from a lovely 'cooling" trip from the San Juans. For those not from this area, we are having a wee bit of a heat wave. The thermometer hit 100 degrees today here.

Praise God the team arrived, tired but safe. They settled into the guest house, showered and spent the days with the kids. Although they missed a day , they feel like they will be able to catch up. They took the kids to Giraffe Park, these are some pictures we will be looking forward to seeing once Robyn gets back with her pictures.

Sunday: They went to Church in Langata and got to praise with the Church on the Rock. They also worked with their singles group, " Senior Youth"

Monday: On to Makindu, checking into Hunters Lodge where birds and monkey's talk loudly to their neighbors throughout the night. They had a riotous fashion show with the girls, the girls loved primping, getting nails painted and dressing up. This was a special time for bonding for all.

Tuesday: On to the primary schools in Kisingo and Makindu, where the team from last year provided blessings. The kids really got excited having the group spend extra time with them. This was truly a time of giving back to the village.

He will defend the afflicted among the people and save the children of the needy; He will crush the oppressor. Psalms 72: 74

Wednesday was a day for completely catching up. They completed all their painting, except for one room. Robyn caught a stomach virus, sound familiar DeeDee? She is asking for prayer.

Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.
Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and shun evil.
This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones. Proverbs 3:5-8

Tomorrow will be one of the hardest days as they visit the children in the hospitals. Please pray for strength for the team, healing for the children, and the Lord God's hand over all of them. Several Of the team is dreading this visit and hjow they will handle it.

Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." Matt 19:14

Till tomorrow, Judi
