Prayer Before Departing on a Trip
O God, You called Abraham Your servant out of Ur and kept him safe and sound in all his wanderings. If it is Your will, protect Your servants. Be for us a support when setting out, friendship along the way, a little shade from the sun, a mantle against cold and rain, a crutch on slippery paths, and a haven in shipwreck. Bear us up in fatigue, and defend us under attack. Under Your protection, let us fulfill the purpose for our trip and return safe and sound to our home. Amen.

Our team is on the way home. They left at 11am our time, 11pm their time, and hopefully as I write this, they are geting some sleep. Robyn called me this morning (0630 am) and I heard the chattering and laughter of the children behind her. A special blessing I received was actually talking to Helen, a young girl whom I've been supporting. She said to me in her adorable clipped british-type accent "Judi you come next year, I need to see you." Father God you know my prayers. The team will be landing in London where they have a 6-hour lay over. They will have the chance to do the quick walking tour they missed on their way there. Then the long way back home to Seattle.
May the Lord bless you all, the prayer warriors of our Kenya team. This will be my final blog this year. Robyn will pick it back up once she's home. Judi
