Off the group went to the Mari River where they really got a taste of Africa and it's four-legged inhabitants. Lots of hippos, giraffes and crocks. They actually walked with the very tall giraffes.
Then it was off to the village where the tribe members shared their lives and music with them.
Notice the great colors. Where in America would you wear bright red with purple? The temperature has been much hotter here in Washington than there. They had a high of 80' today, but it has been mostly been breathable in the 70's. As I have mentioned, I am excited to see all the pictures they have taken this time. The day finally ended with a walk in the sunset. This has been a well deserved R&R for them.Tomorrow, it's back to Nairobi, a final day for packing and spending time with some very special little ones. Most of the team has very mixed feelings about going home, they miss us, but a new love for Africa and it's people has bloomed in their hearts. Tomorrow night at 11pm they will fly away on their long road home. It will be a time for thought and prayer.
Deuteronomy 6:7:7 Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.
